Settling and Separation of Sludge
Primary Filtration: This is the first step of effluent treatment plant, wherein effluent is collected from different manufacturing industries. From the effluent, solid waste particles are removed as a primary filtration.
Cooling and Mixing: Different types of effluent are blended and cool down through a fun run by a motor.
Neutralization Tank: As the effluent is blended and cooled down, it is transferred to neutralization tank by a pump. In this tank, acid or alkali is mixed to neutralize the effluent. pH of the water is tested by placing a pH meter in the tank.
Coagulant Bath: As the effluent is neutralized, it is transferred to a coagulant bath, where coagulant is added to the effluent.
Settling Tank: In this tank; effluent form the sludge, separated from the water and settled at the lower level of the tank.
Pressure Filter: Pressure is applied for filtration.
Carbon Filtration: It is an optional filtration process.
Discharge to Drain: After all above processes explained, the treated effluent becomes safe to be drained to the environment.
Before the drainage of effluent, it is checked by the different testing lab.
